number one satellite information source worldwide from Sweden.
Amazing site showing all satellite channels, services and satellites
worldwide. Comprehensive lists of what's on each satellite. A
good place to look for ethnic and specialty channels, satellite
programming lists and satellite locations. You won't believe how
many channels exist! If you learn all this you won't need us anymore.....
SatcoDX.com - This
is a Satellite chart site very similar to Lyngsat listed above,
however you can view this site in almost
any language, making it much easier for foreign language
customers. We find it a bit harder to read than Lyngsat, but it
has listings of Free-to-air broadcast
channels and other features. On this chart, for North American
satellites, look for listings from 200 -
275 degrees East Longitude, which is the same as 85 - 160
West Longitude from our western viewpoint. Here are the pages
in English for satellites 84
- 109 degrees W and 109
- 160 degrees W. The number of free channels are listed on
these pages (FTA). In the left column at individual satellite
pages, if you see FTA, that means Free-to-air (No subscription
cost!). From the individual satellite charts, you can select Fast chart and get a listing of just the
channel types you are interested in. EG: FTA

Iran (Persian) TV - There are currently
4 TV and two radio Persian language
chanels as well as 40 other channels on T5 available Free. IRIB
1 and 2, JAAM-E-JAM, PARS, and NITV as well as radio AFNL. Here
is the Farsi language link
to SatcoDX (SEE ABOVE) for T5. Some of these services are out
of Los Angeles, some from Iran, but the six channels provide a
complete service with news, movies, music, soccer and sports,
children's programming, call-in talk shows and much more. The
Satguys speak only english, but there are even Persian movies
subtitled in English, too. Multiple Free-to-air
MPEG2 Persian language is currently available on Telstar 5 with

Earthquake!
- When is "the big one" coming? Real-time earthquake
bulletins and maps of the most recent quakes - listed minutes
after they happen. You'll get hooked on this one!
Doppler
Radar - Now you don't even have
to look out the window...Doppler radar image of Seattle and Vancouver
area showing precipitation happening
right now. If your small satellite dish is experiencing interference,
it can be caused by big lumpy wet clouds and heavy precipitation
passing through the area. You can see potential weather interference
as it happens on this site.
I

see how amazing this service is. Look for the "Neighborhood
Map" function.
Reverse
directory - Like the service above, this is the page for Canada,
and it will search USA too. If you know the phone number but not
the name, the address but not the name, this will find a name
for you in most cases. Fill in the name of a street with no specific
address, and this will tell you who lives on that street. Don't
use periods (see the fine print)
Time
for a vacation! - This is where we go for R&R on Maui
- Hoyochi Nikko is a great 18 unit beachfromt condo just north
of Kaanapali with great managers. Ask for unit #205, it's the
same price, but has more square footage than other units and a
unique layout. The photos don't show the 16 foot vaulted ceilings
only in the upper units like #205.
